With the exception of the Seattle Times’ inaccurate headline and photo caption containing the inaccurate term “assisted suicide,” the following story (originally published in the New York Times) about our client, Dr. Richard Wesley, exemplifies what aid in dying under the Washington Death With Dignity Act is all about:  http://seattletimes.com/html/health/2018901082_assisteddeath12.html.

In the story, Dr. Wesley states:  “I don’t know if I’ll use the medication to end my life, but I do know that it is my life; it is my death; and it should be my choice.”

For the record, “assisted suicide” is still illegal in Washington and is a Class C felony. By law, aid in dying under the Washington Death With Dignity Act is not “assisted suicide.”
