1. Allows doctors and other health care providers to talk with patients about treatment options under the Washington Death with Dignity Act. Yes

While the hospital does not require providers to inform patients of their available options under the Death with Dignity Act, the policy does not prohibit providers from doing so.

2. Ensures that patients who request assistance with Washington's Death with Dignity Act are referred to a supportive organization or provider. Yes

All patients are provided with educational materials about end-of-life options. The materials include a statement that KVH does not participate in the Death with Dignity Act as well as contact information to help patients locate a participating provider.

3. Allows doctors to participate in Death with Dignity in its hospital. No
